FAQs:

Why a newsletter?

Scrolling through the clutter of social media made me seek comfort in the written word, the mode of communication I am most comfortable with. Pointing at the air to explain concepts, or dancing to music to prove a point just doesn’t feel authentic to my soul, but writing in long form does.

Why subscribe?

Because you wouldn’t want to miss the tea. Just kidding. No tea here, we’re trying to be a high vibe community. Subscribe to expand your mind. Or just catch up on my latest musings on fashion, mindful shopping and personal style. From shallow to deep, as long as it’s soul-stirring, I got you.

Who is Christine?

Who am I? - Zoolander, described in a GQ article as, “A narcissistic moron with a complete lack of self-awareness”. He did manage to have an existential crisis prior to foiling an assassination attempt while going about his airhead ways. He was also prescient of the future of human behavior 20 years later. Did I just relate myself to Derek Zoolander? No judgment there.

Does it even matter? I am a spiritual being having a human existence in this current lifetime as Christine. Today I’m a daughter, sister, wife and Mom. In the next I could be a Buddhist bouncer in the hottest club in the Meatpacking District, or a capitalist farmer in the verdant landscapes of rural Sichuan. Wouldn’t mind spending a lifetime though running chic boutique hotels along the Italian Coast a la Marie-Louise Sciò.

But if we are to be 3D about it, I am a reformed shopaholic turned tidying consultant with a 20 year background in retail. I love clothes, I enjoy decluttering closets and helping my clients key in to their personal style. I care very much about sustainability.

I am here to help people “Buy Less, Choose Well, Make it Last”, in the words of the great Vivienne Westwood. If I were to sum all these up in a way that feels aligned with my values, I’d call myself a Conscious Living Guide.
